Mornings
Puppy and kitty climbed up on my bed,
Kitty walked over and sat on my head,
Puppy's wet tongue began licking my ear,
To tell me its time to awake.
Kitty's tail flicked on my face and my nose,
Sneezing I suddenly woke from my doze,
Puppy excitedly jumped to the floor
As I crawled out from under the spread.
Swaying and blinking I stumbled downstairs,
Wiping my ear and snorting out hairs,
Down to the kitchen with eight furry feet,
Clambering over my toes.
I watched my two pets as with gusto they ate,
Slowly I nibbled the toast on my plate,
Enjoying my breakfast not nealry as much,
As kitty and puppy did theirs.
