Ceaseless Circles
I wonder what this small goldfish is thinking.
He swims in endless circles in his bowl.
gliding calmly, eyes wide and unblinking,
to strive towards some unfathomable goal.
The bottom of his realm is filled with gravel,
a plastic castle stands upon its floor.
Onward he persists with zeal to travel,
contended with his never ending tour.
Can he know how futile his endeavor?
For him there is no middle, end, or start.
Just ceaseless circles going on forever.
But little fish, you never give up heart.
for a pet loving friend or family member.
