Personalized Poems to honor Beloved Pets - Remember them with love.
Black Lab Sleeping
He curls up tightly in a ball,
His breathing slow and deep.
His nose is tucked against his tail,
a sure sign he's asleep.
His ears lay flat upon the rug
his eyelids low and drooping.
And now and then I hear the sound
of gently muffled blooping.
So thus he dreams beneath my desk,
as is his normal habit.
His paws begin to scrape the rug,
to chase a phantom rabbit.
He does not wake, and once again
his paws are limp and still.
Perhaps the rabbit of his dreams
escaped beyond a hill.
for a pet loving friend or family member.
