Say It With a Poem -
A Gift That Lasts Forever
When you have struggled for the words
To tell someone what's in your heart.
When you have given up the task,
And stroll behind a shopping cart.
When you search for a lesser gift,
And hope it shows the love you feel.
You tell yourself it's still the thought,
And dicker for a better deal.
When you gift wrap that piece of cloth,
Or drop it in a fancy bag,
And wonder why you're feeling low,
And why your spirits start to sag.
It's time to come to me instead.
I'll craft for you a work of art,
With all the passion from your soul.
With all the love that's in your heart.
If you want to give a special gift
that truly expresses your feelings, a present picked up at
some boutique or gift shop just isn't enough.
Let me create a poem that
says what is truly in your heart. It is a gift that
will be treasured forever.
Every poem I write is completely fresh and unique because I start with
a blank page, and all your memories and descriptions
that you shared to help create the poem.
Whether you are looking for a
love poem,
wedding poem, or
a poem for any other occasion, I will work with you until you are
completely delighted with the result.

Thank you! I truly love the poem. It shared the message of laughter as
well as showed the love I feel for her. The end brought tears to my eyes. I do
not think anything needs to be changed.
Thanks,
Sue

It is actually perfect. I couldn't think of anything else more
suiting to explain how I feel about him. I read it to my friends at
lunch and they actually had tears. He will be totally surprised with
this poem and the cd I have being made. Thank you for all your time
and energy in writing a poem for my very special day. If there is a
page to write reviews, please let me know.

My Dog Will Live Forever
My dog will live forever,
In the shadow of my eye.
He runs beside me in my dreams,
Beneath a cloudless sky.
He waters every lamp pole,
And sniffs at every tree.
His legs move with swift sureness,
His limp, a memory.
My dog will live forever
Where thoughts do not quite meet.
I grab his leash from off the knob
When heading to the street.
for just a moment, by my side
I feel he must still stand
Until I hang the leash back up,
So empty in my hand.
My dog will live forever,
Secure inside my head.
Each night when I'm half sleeping,
He rests beside my bed.
Each morning I reach over,
My fingers brush the air.
And though I cannot touch him,
For me, he's always there.
In memory of my guide dog, Doug, partner and friend
from November 1998 until his death in July, 2010.
